“Goodnight,” she said and turned her face up to his. It seemed the natural thing to do— after such a pleasant evening and the intimacies they had shared in his truck earlier in the day—for her to tiptoe up to kiss his cheek.
Lex leaned down and turned his face at the last second, letting his lips touch hers. The flame that had not gone out between them flared higher, and she opened her mouth to him. That was all the invitation he needed. Their first kiss, only hours earlier, had all been on him, and this time she wanted to show that she was equally involved.
He kissed her deeply, pushing her up against the wall and invading her mouth with his tongue, lifting her up to his mouth to accommodate their differing heights. When he pulled back, staring into her gray eyes, she saw the same hunger she was feeling reflected in his own, but he said nothing.
“Would you like to come in?” she asked, her eyes gleaming with need.

I downloaded Wolf Among Sheep as a free novella from Amazon.While I can't put my finger on anything specific, I just didn't get into this story and was relieved to finish so I could go to the next boo on my TBR. I think I will avoid nosy reporter stories from now on, as I think it's the pushy heroine that turned me off. Other readers may like her feisty character, so I would have given this a neutral rating if I only based my review on that point...
BUT, this book was advertised as a werewolf biker story-- Not only did out hero never ride a motorcycle (he was a rancher in a pick-up), but there was no interaction with his "Club" members. As for being a shapeshifter, the reader gets a hint of him being a paranormal, but there is no real supernatural element in the story. This is a fail on the genre advertised, as well as a failure to engage me as a reader. Reads more like an installment in a serial, rather than a stand-alone book in a series.

What a good story line. Reporter out to catch a story on a wolf attack. Seems simple enough, but is it. Bad ass biker, saves the day...too good of a story to pass up. But, what's the real story behind it? Why won't anyone talk? Read and see...
Glad the first book was free! I really liked it but it was way to short! I would like to finish the series but I will wait til its 99cents or less just based on fact of shortness of story. Cute quick story.
********** SPOILERS SO TO SPEAK ***** READ OR NOT... ok I am a sucker for shifters (especially wolves) so I clicked..... B.O.R.E.D. !!! yep, I couldn't believe it either. Where was the wolf? what romance? what bikers? none showed til the end! and Tamara the ACE reporter, was a joke and Lex wasn't much better. Tamara is about to lose her job (along with others) and because they need a big news story, she is willing to pay all her own expenses and go to another state to interview people about an attack? REALLY?? and you give up your virginity to the local hero Lex? so I guess you will go that extra yard to get your story!! fast forward to the end, yep, now something newsworthy happens, I guess so you can get the next book. and the last chapter deals with pov from Lex. wow, so excited...NOT! I was really hoping this was not a serial as I don't like them, but it is.....
This book has a great strong welled lady and a super bossy alpha male. So what could go wrong
Y poo ur love seeing what happen next when two powerful personality go head to head. The sexy is erotic and demanding. I would only recommend this book if your looking for sassy over the top hot male erotic. And let's face it who isn't looking for that🙋
Not thrilled by storyline or characters. Not going to read others in serial. Didn’t get into book, or frankly like any of the characters.
This is an enjoyable story filled with slowly building suspense, only hinting at paranormal aspects but are not clearly stated until the end. It does end on a cliffhanger, leading to another book. I am hopeful this next book provides the answers which the author has skillfully trailed breadcrumbs to tempt the reader to seek. I can't wait to dive into book 2 to see if the implied danger lurking in the shadows of this small town bears fruit.
